Third World Network is a non-profit international network of organizations and individuals involved
in sustainable development issues, the South and North- South relations. We conduct research on
economic, social and environmental issues; publish books and periodicals; organise and participate
in meetings; and contribute to providing a platform for views of the South in international
processes such as the United Nations and World Trade Organisation. TWN's international secretariat
is based in Penang, Malaysia, with an office in Kuala Lumpur.
The Consumers' Association of Penang (CAP) and Sahabat Alam Malaysia (SAM) are grassroots-based
non-profit, non-governmental organizations advancing the rights and interests of Malaysian citizens
through research, educational and representational activities. We work on a wide-range of public
interest issues related to development and the environment.
